Ok so this isnt fantasy hockey and if it gets erased so be it. I\'ve recently started playing NHL 07 for the PS2, I\'ve had it for a while but misplaced and got busy with school, and I\'m having 2 problems with it. I was wondering if someone could had any suggestions. I\'ve seen one post somewhere here about the game so I know atleast one person plays the game.

Problem 1: Offense
I cant not score, the goaltending in this game sucks. I have trouble scoring less than 10 goals a game. I usually score on about 4 shots from about the blueline and 6 one-timers in an average game. The ratio depends on how bad the goalie is and how close the game is. The one-timers i dont mind, its the ridiculous number of regular shots that I\'m scoring on. Hell, I was using Pittsburgh and my line of Peter Taticek, Sean Bergenheim and Jeff Tambellini were averaging almost 2 points per game each as my 3rd line. To say nothing of my first line of Crosby, Ovechkin and someone. I\'m not bragging but it\'s too easy. Any suggestions? (I\'m playing it at difficult and dont see another level)

Problem 2: Defense
I cant hit anybody, or at least my hits dont have much effect. Now I use more of a skill team but I\'ve had bangers on my team and they were useless. I get the odd hip check and thats a bout it every other hit is a joke. They normally effect me more than the other guy. As if thats not bad enough my goalies suck, it doesnt matter who i use. They let in goals from everywhere. Todd Fedoruk was blowing wristshots by my goalie from the blueline. It\'s one thing when it\'s Markus Naslund or Alex Ovechkin but gimme a break.

I guess my main problem is the goaltending, it\'s useless. I dont want to mess with the game settings to effect my offense cause I know my goalie wont even get close to stopping 90% of the shots. I\'m tired of always allowing 7 goals a game, winning 14-7 is fun but only for a while. Anyone know of a way to fix this?

I was an avid EA hockey guy until this year. I don\'t have the PS2 anymore, i picked up a 360. TBH the game in general did not impress me, looked like another EA halfassed attempt to get a game out withough working out the kinks.

My problem with EA 07 was that Hatcher was catching Spezza while he was on a breakaway as well as other BS like I scored from my goal line 2x in a game, as well as put a shot right through a goalie\'s chest (slow-mo replay). I feel 2k7 was a MUCH better game. Goalie AI in EA is a joke, i love it when the G start skating around for no reason when the puck is in your end, as well as gettin gstuck on the net trying to get back into position, as well as the puck sliding through their legs ever so slowly.

If you have a chance try 2k7, it was better imo.
