I got an offer to get Jean-François Jacques for nothing... I tried to find some informations about him, but I don\'t found anything on dobber\'s site or dobber fantasy pack. What is the upside of that guy? Does he have the tools to be a top6 in the NHL. TSN scouting report talk about a Porward forward as a career potential. Are you agree with that? Does somebody see him played? Which player in the NHL would you compare Jacques to? What is his upside?
thanks.

Third-line checking winger at best. Likes to shoot but misses the net far too often. He\'s a decent skater, but will never be a scorer in the NHL.
Edmonton\'s one of the few teams he could have stayed with for more than a few games last season.

Pretty good option on the 3rd line... will move up with injries... very decent size, and does drive like a powe forward... does lack finish... Smooth skater has great vision... needs a little help in his own zone (which is why Edmonton keeps sending him down)...
I\'ve seen him play about 10 times for Hamiltion/Wilke Barre... maybe more... most of the games he was one of the top 3 forards for Hamilton... Wilkes Barre has a loaded line up... he was 2nd line still PPG... he finds good places to sit and the pucks find him... NHL is a bit of a step up and he has troubles adjusting, as Thieving said... 3rd line (until later in his career), once aclimated he could climb, but will take time... Im trying to compare him to someone.... bt everyone i think of is a franchise player... JF is not that... a young Keith Primeau I guess is as close as I can come... Depending on your lg and roster sizes you might take a flyer on him... he`s played 44 NHL games has 0 PTS and is -14 which is why the person wants to be rid of him... he`s 4th on the depth chart fighing for the 4th line with Thoreson... Right now he`s Penciled in the line up... but watch what edmonton does, they are looking to trade a D man or 2 and if they get a decent foward he probebly loses his spot...

I\'d like to see you try and pull off \"webster\". Then I would be impressed.

JFJ is looking more and more like a career minor leaguer. He\'s always been able to play very well in the AHL but the next step up seems to be a little bit too much. There has to be a better option out there then him. Of course if he\'s completely free and not going to hurt you in any way (roster spots, salary cap etc) then I guess why not keep him.
