any opinions theories or rumours on when and or wher gerber may end up? i took a chance on picking him up as a third goalie behind legace and kipper but the teams that need goalies seem to now be fewer than the goalies availabe

Unfortunately the answer is Ottawa. Unless Emery completely tanks it or is injured, I don\'t see Gerber getting much playing time. I still think he has the ability, but he may not get the chance to show it.

The goalie market is very limited right now, especially for a guy making $3.7M a year for the next two years. Bryzgalov is available and he\'s only making $1.18M for one more year.

Ottawa\'s stuck with that contract, unless they buy him out. Regardless, unless you\'re in a deep pool, there must be a better option than Gerber. With Kiprusoff and Legace on your team, maybe a young goalie with a shot at being the number one guy in a year or two would be a better choice.
