What does everyone think G-Biron-PHI upside this year will be? Just wondering as I do have a lot of respect for Niitymaki as well and am slightly worried that if Biron faulters he could lose tons of ice time to him.

I love Biron and thought the Leafs were incredibly dumb to give Boston Rask for Raycroft when they could have offered the same to Buffalo and had Biron. Had they done that, they would have still had their picks this season, because Biron would have been the answer.
Awesome goaltender. Niitty is great too, but I don\'t see Biron faltering.

Firstly, congrats Dobber on reaching 1000 posts.

Secondly, I agree with Dobber. I don\'t think you\'ll see Nittymaki play more than 20 games this season unless Biron gets injured. I think that 30+ wins and a good all around showing in shutouts, save %, and GAA are not out of the question (by any means) for Biron this coming season.

I am a bit concerned with some of the \"road cones\" that Philly has on defense in front of him.

But his career numbers look pretty good for GAA and SV%. 30 wins sounds about right with Philly getting a playoff spot this year.

I just acquired Biron in my main Keeper League, and I have to say that I am quite happy to see what Flyers are becoming. It is easy to understand that Philly will play with a lot more confidence this year, with the addition of huge UFAs. As a goaltender, I know how big the \"confidence\" word can be for the guy between the posts. Since Biron has learned to play with confidence in BUF, I am sure that we will have a brillant season with PHI.

However, don\'t ask too much from him in the first half of the season, since this team is almost brand new. When they will get this \"confidence\" and the coordination necessary to win games in a row, you will see Biron post pretty good stats.

And another advantage with Biron: PHI goalie prospects are nearly non-existent.
