I agree with Loki. I would definitly hang on to him. Edmonton while going through a tough stretch with signing players, will do something to improve their team before the start of the season (maybe not enough to make him a top guy this year, but in the future he will be back). There are a lot of examples of teams going from contender to pretender from year to year and I beleive they do have a good young core.

how do you think the addition of pitkanen and souray will help hemsky? i think Hemsky was on pace to score 70 points if he didn\'t get injured. what kind of production do you think he\'ll have next year?

i think the big signing helps hemsky out a ton, at least on the pp. with the howitzer from the point it should force a lot of teams to send guys out to try to prevent souray from shooting allowing hemsky a little bit of room and time to maybe make a play. if they could only get some form of scorer to convert things might be a little warmer in siberia.

Wow..the kid has one bad season, which is marred with injuries and we\'re all writing this kid off? Settle people.

Pitkanen and Souray will help tremendously. Hemsky is the most lethal on the PP and need a Dman to work the puck around. (See Pronger 2 seasons ago)

The guy is 24 and came up one bad season..he\'ll get it back..the worse the team the more the ice time and opps...he\'ll regain his value.
