Default My Friday Goalie Thoughts

Just sharing my thoughts on tonight's goalie options. Feel free to do as you must!

Vokoun vs. Nabokov
Vokoun has won his last 4 starts including a shutout and stopping 23 of 24 shots March 10th against the Islanders. He's hot, Pens are hot, start Vokoun.

Kiprusoff vs. Bobrovsky
Kipper has been a little inconsistent lately winning 2 of his past 5 but a few of those losses have been pretty bad. It's not all his fault but the Kipper who used to steal the show for the Flames is not turning up more than enough. Bobo's save percentage is really solid lately. He's won 2 in a row including a shutout. Columbus is faring better than Calgary at the moment. Blue Jackets at home - start Bobo.

Holtby vs. Pavelec
Holtby has an impressive 4 shutouts from 20 starts this season including last nights against the Jets. This one can go either way but Ovechkin looked good last night. Hard to gamble on the Jets when they are only 7-7-0 in their own building. Start Holtby.

Howard vs. Fasth
As much as I could make a case for Howard, there's too many factors going Anaheim's way. Perry returns tonight. The Ducks are hot. Fasth is 6-0-0 at home this season with a 1.32 GAA including a 5-2 win vs the Wings in February. Start Fasth.

I'm going Nabokov, Holtby and Kipper.

...because I have 50 bucks on it.
