I was considering offering Claude Giroux, Jaime Benn and Sergei Bobrovsky for Crosby. Am I giving up to much? I would likely end up keeping Chris Stewart after this. League in Sig, thanks in advance!

You have to overpay for Crosby, period. Even if you do, most owners won't let him go. If you are not in a race for 1st overall this year, do it. Just my humble opinion.

If I'm the Crosby owner, that's not enough for me -- part of that is a belief on my part that last year was a career year for Giroux. I wouldn't consider your offer to be overpaying.

Bobrovsky's resume is too short too.

If you wanted to make a compelling pitch, I'd offer Giroux, Benn/Kane, OEL/Subban, and Rask/Price.

Unless you step up, no Crosby owner in their right mind would accept what you're offering. The only way you get guys like Crosby is to make it a no-brainer for their owner, gut your depth, then spend a while to recover. You'll lose in the short-term, but over the long haul you can/will be better off.

In a keep 10, it's a fine offer.
I don't think it will be accepted... but you can try.

In a dynasty (keep all), where there are 120F in play (10 teams x 12F), the depth of getting BOTH Giroux & Benn would make it a fair deal.


In a 10-team, keep-10 league:
1) Goalies are more plentiful, so they have less value than in other leagues. I would say Bob isn't even a keeper in a Keep100 league.
2) Therefore, the comparison [for him] is:
Crosby + His 9th/10th Keeper
vs.
Giroux + Benn

Unless his 9th/10th keepers are really, really, really bad... he's probably not going to take this deal.

So... no, it's definitely not an overpayment.
