This thread is overdue for a bump...
Just got my March delivery from my Belgian beer of the month club. Of course, I immediately pull/open/pour the Chimay Tripel (Blonde) - like an addict to a crack pipe. Anywhoooo...other beers include a very unique variety (to me anyway)
There are others...I will post as I consume them. Very excited...as always thanks to the Missus for the recurring gift.

Just finished the Maredsous Brune. Good beer, but I am finding the label brown ale to be a generic term, not truly indicative of what's inside the bottle. The Maredsous Brune, DFH Brown Ale, and Ommegang Abbey Ale are all great but uniquely different beers.
In all honesty the DFH Brown drinks more like a quad than anything. The Maredsous is more similar to a Saison in terms of depth, but w/out the heavy corriander notes. Right now I am onto the Steen Brugge Tripel. Along w/a hunk of gorgonzola my wife bought. Hope she didn't have plans for this...

Enjoying a great new offering from a hot, local brewery, Parallel 49. Lord of the Hops....tastes like a mix between a SN Torpedo and a Fat Tug. Either way, it's delicious:

Just polished off a bottle of an interesting new beer, well new for me....
http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/389/1115 The packaging caught my eye and then when I got home and looked it up I was even more intrigued. Nothing against the Sri Lankans, but they aren't as esteemed in the beer world as the Germans, Belgians, etc. After trying it I must tip my hat to them, this is a good stout. Speaking of stouts, after that one I moved on to an old favorite... http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/113/86189 I've said it before, but I'll say it again, the aroma on this beer is second to none.

That stout looks amazing!
I've got a night of poker, Millionaires Vs Det on the big screen....and beer tasting. It's an Irish themed event, but I'm still bringing the Hops. What's everyone else drinking tonight?

Hey Fellas,
I'm in Seattle tonight and off to Long Beach tomorrow. Hit up one of my favourite Seattle shops for $110 plus in goods. Managed to find 2 more 6ers of Lagunitas Sucks....what a perfect brew. Also tried a Skyhag IPA: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/22536/61384 better than advertised

Boys,
What's up? I've been away a few days in Mickey's Magical Kingdom and it seems like everyone's disappeared. Say it ain't so. I believe it's Friday. I'm headed out for a run here in Orange California, then over to this great looking Deli: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/3611 for a pre lunch pint of Pliny. I hope to pick up some beer for the road trip back to Palm Springs. What's everyone else sampling tonight?

It may be March, but I found a hidden 4-pack of Autumnal Fire from Capital Brewery (Madison, WI) at my local liquor store. It's a dopplebock, which should have aged nicely since last fall. Glad I got so lucky, since I missed out on this around October: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/368/991 I'll be downing those suds tonight!
