I just accepted an offer in which I gave him the 7th overall pick and dropped down to 16...and in exchange he gave me a 1st rounder for next year. So someone else jumped in, seeing what I did, and asked if I was stockpiling 2014 picks. He then offered me a 1st in 2014 for Kuroda.
Here are my 12 keepers, ranked in order. Draft is coming up. 3B*Beltre, Adrian*3B*-*TEX 2B*Kinsler, Ian*2B*-*TEX Kuroda, Hiroki*SP*-*NYY BN*Teixeira, Mark*1B*-*NYY UT*Rizzo, Anthony*(R)*1B*-*CHC 1B*Swisher, Nick*1B,RF*-*CKE LF*Aoki, Norichika*(R)*LF,CF,RF*-*MIL C*Montero, Miguel*C*-*ARI Perez, Chris*RP*-*CLE RF*Hart, Corey*1B,RF*-*MIL Betancourt, Rafael*RP*-*COL* Hammel, Jason*SP*-*BAL Luebke, Cory*SP*-*SD* And yes, I chose to keep Tex...and then like the next day he got hurt. So I may be in a position where I gear up for next year anyway. Being new to baseball keepers...it may be wise to sit out a year and just observe.

I would take the 1st in 2014 in a heartbeat.
Kuroda's easily replaced. |

All dependent on whether you're going for the rebuild or not. On one hand it's wise as you can play your odds and get another pitcher with similar stats in your draft. Considering the Yankees are pretty banged up as well may impede Kuroda's total number of wins.
However, there is some upside with the strikeouts - while it wasn't reflected on his K/9, the swinging strike % got stronger and may see an uptick in the strikeouts. |
