Tough call as I think both have a very bright future with their respective clubs.

My initial guy reaction was Couture, then I started thinking "what if this happens or that happens" then maybe Ryan.

Im sticking with my gut and going to say Couture. Thornton wont be the #1 centre there forever and I know exactly whos waiting in the wings to take that torch.

But to be serious I had pretty much the same thought process as you. Couture at first...then maybe Ryan. Started thinking about Selanne, Palmieri, Etem, Getzlaf, Perry etc etc.

In the end I would probably hang on to Ryan in a points only league. It is easier to find a decent center than a winger with the potential for 80+. Couture is not your typical assist heavy center, so if goals scored more than assists I would hang on to him.
