Default RW: Matt Read or Brenden Gallagher?

Pretty simple. Which RW would you want, factoring both "now" production, and for the future?

Matt Read or Brenden Gallagher?

Other considerations that are on FA:
Beau Bennett
M.Grabner
K.Okposo

Stats:
G,A,+/-,PIM,PPP,SHP,SOG,FW

Thanks for the input.

Thanks for voting!

I'll take Gallagher.
Produces very consistently with very little TOI.
One injury to Gionta and this guy will be playing 17min a night.
Smart, gritty and hits a ton. Not much PP chances if any but that should come with future. Small guy, big net presence.

I'll take Gallagher since I own him and need him to keep producing or else.

Jeez, 1, 1, and 2 for comments anyways.

I was leaning Gally, seems to be seeing good PP time lately with Patch & Desh.
Didn't at a lot of minutes last night tho, but netted a ppg still.

Bennett is supposed to be highly skilled with good vision and smarts.
Playing with Malkin & Neal will help... He has to stay in the top 6 to be relevant though, either Geno or Sid automatically make him a better fantasy player.

Not sure what to think of Read. Good rookie yr and decent start this yr.
Bumped to a line with B.Schenn/Simmonds last night but the whole team did awful.

Hope to hear more input and/or votes... I'm torn, and we get limited moves for the season so I don't want to flip flop and burn a couple moves.

Thanks again so far.

If Bennett remains up with the team, I like him in a keeper league. He was a highly-regarded prospect in his own right, but playing alongside Malkin or Crosby would just be icing on the cake.

I like Gallagher. No matter who he plays with, he performs well, whereas the others are more dependent on whom is one their line.

Good points from all. Thanks for the advice.

Gally was sick in the WHL for the Vancouver Giants (last 3 seasons):
41g 40a in 72 games (81 pts)
44g 47a in 66 games (91 pts)
41g 36a in 54 games (77 pts)

Bennett took the TierII Junior and then College Route. Lit it up though in Jr:
41g 79a in 56 games (120 pts ... WHAT?!)
25pts in 37 games Freshman year at U of Denver
13 pts in 10 games Sophmore year ... I'm guessing he was injured?
25 pts in 35 games this year in the AHL

I get that Bennett is a solid prospect, and obviously playing with Malkin/Neal right now (when Malkin's healthy), or possibly Sid down the road will boost him.

That said, it appears Gallagher has the track record of simply putting the puck in the net. Not bad linemates in MTL right now either plus a great role model in Brian Gionta - they're both almost the same players in terms of skill set, size, etc. Size probably the most important, I'm sure Gally is learning lots from Gio of how to play in the NHL at their size.

Kudos to both of them - love seeing skilled little guys prove their worth in the NHL rather than a huge ass 6'3 guy proving us all that he sucks and all he is is a big body!!

Sorry, got off on a tangent... Thanks again to everyone who's voted and shared their opinion!
