4 PP chances for TB in the first period and aside from the goal on the initial PP, the team looked like crap up a man. Too much passing and very little effort in the way of screens/deflections/rebounds. Boucher clearly realized it was an issue and tried nearly every possibly line combination to fix it. The one thing I noticed though was the continued use of 2 Dmen at the point when they're a man up, and it really hasn't worked well for us.
Hedman's not been given a chance to do much with the puck on the PP or E.S. The coaching staff seems to be more concerned about him playing smart defensively and leaving it at that. A few other thoughts thus far... Stamkos has not been given really any time or space this game so far or at any point in the season. The opposing D is constantly on top of him. Lecavalier has been playing well on D but isn't charging up offensively much. He's nearly always a trailer on basically every play.

I see this thread isn't that active, but I thought I'd post anyway.
Bolts fans, earlier this season I made a trade for Duncan Keith, and I ended up giving Brunner away. He wanted Conacher as part of the deal, but I gave him Brunner instead. I realize that rookies can hit a wall and it isn't fair to expect PPG, but after 5 games of donuts I'm wondering if I should have kept Brunner instead. What's going on with Conacher? I know his shooting percentage was unsustainably high at the begininng and a drop off in production was expected, but is there more to it than that? Has he been demoted to line 2? How does he look? Thanks, A

For my analysis of last night's Lightning / Rangers game, see the Rangers thread: http://forums.dobbersports.com/showt...=1#post1098405
Posted a few thoughts on Tampa players in there. Hedman, man, he was impressive...

Good to see the Lightning giving Cedric Desjardins the start against Montreal tonight. I don't know why he hasn't gotten a fair shake in the NHL, I think he's a pretty solid goalie.

Anyone here got any reviews on how Radko Gudas is playing?
Stats are saying he's been doing good. Went from 15min the first night to 20mins in his 3rd game. 14 hits in 3 games... any on ice analysis from someone who watches the Lightning?

Can someone provide a little insight into Barberio? In the short term, will he get the call to replace Hedman?
Most importantly, will this kid be a regular next year? I am debating about dropping shitty Ian White for him, as I am most likely out of it this year, but I often fall in love with prospects with no real shot at making an impact early on (see Elliot, Stefan) and do not have room for prospects on my squad. I am OK with less than stellar production from my bottom D as long as there is room to grow. I would really appreciate some insight Thanks!
