Wow, that's quite the bold proclamation. Tell that to Radulov or maybe Mozyakin who just destroyed him in KHL scoring!!

Now if you meant to say he's the best young, up and coming player in the world outside of the NHL then I can maybe understand but now you'd have to take into account guys like Drouin, Mackinnon, McDavid, et. So, you'd really have to refine your statement to something along the lines of 'He's the best drafted player under 22 who's not playing in the NHL'.

Strong possibility Strome will have an easy transition in the NHL. Isles like to put a playmaking RW with Tavares & Moulson. He can beat out Boyes easily. Kuznetsov is good but he has to be discounted for KHL risk.

Well as it stands today he is a Much better player the Drouin, Mackinon or Mcdavid which his WJC performances will show. I have no doubt all 3 of them will rival him when they mature but not today, not even close. Radulov is close maybe even better. Mozyakin come on not in same class points or not. Just another guy putting up points in Europe that wouldn't translate to the NHL imo.

I'm not saying Mozyakin is better than him because I've never seen him play and have absolutely nothing to base that on my point is, other than a few tournaments the only real evidence anyone has to judge Kuz against is his performance in the KHL where he was beaten soundly by Mozyakin. So in the KHL Mozyakin was a better player. We have no idea how Kuz will pan out in the NHL or even the AHL. I've seen this time and time again.....Russian star makes meteoric rise through the ranks in his homeland and flops once he gets over to North America. So, other than the very small sample size provided in the international tournaments who can really say they know much about this kid? Furthermore, his stats do not indicate any sign of improvement this year and he has yet to register a point in the playoffs....just sayin
