The Crawford owner offered me Lecavalier for emery. Either player factors into any keepers for next year. This is one of the guys at the top of my league so it will help him alot to have the hawks handcuff (smith and nabokov are his other goalies, probably drops nabby). This would leave me with two timeshare goalies with fasth and schneider, and i would spot start backups of the FA list with guys like khudobin,hedberg,bishop/lehner,bernier,elliott,ellis so there are some decent options to get 1 or 2 extra starts per week. Im not to high on vinny even tho he has a had a pretty good start this year. Thoughts?

Vinny has definitely lost a step or two from his hay day, but I still view this as a near gift of a deal for you and sheer panic on the part of the other GM. Vinny still holds solid value in your league given the scoring cats. And with the FA goalies you listed available, there are plenty of very nice options for you to pick up as a third goalie if needed (or, if I was the other GM, for him to pick up if he thinks he needs to bridge the gap until Crawford is back or at least more is known about his status).

I'd pull the trigger and take Vinny for Emery.
