Default Eberle loses the Lead

Eberle is no longer the AHL scoring leader. It took this long.
Nyquist and Johnson finally catch Eberle with multipoint nights.
Amazing how much of a lead he and Schultz had when the NHL finally started.

Doesn't seem like the Wings are lacking for scoring....

I could think of several reasons why he's not in the NHL

1) Damien Brunner.
2) Good salary management, you don't need him so why blow a year of ELC.
3) Experience, a year leading a team in scoring should give him better experience than checking as a 3rd or 4th liner.
4) Depth. Zetts/Brunner/Dats are locks. Then you have Samuelsson, Franzen, Bertuzzi, Filppula, Tatar, Cleary. All of these guys can play top 6.

Will Schultz win rookie-of-the-year in the AHL?
He could still win d-man of the year.
