From the sounds of it he hasn't been exactly great but the roster was cut down to 23 players today and Despres is still with the team. Bylsma has also talked about pairing him with Letang and that's where he's been in the camp too. He can still be sent down as he doesn't have to clear waivers but for now it sure looks like he'll be on the opening night roster and will get his chance.

I'm really excited about Bennett. He just seems like he's going to be an awesome fit in PIT. He is exactly the kind of player we need and he seems to be adjusting to the NHL really well. I like the little things he does(considering he's a rookie). He seems very mature and he works hard. I think he's going to be a great fit on the Malkin-Neal like for a long time (provided Malkin stays).
