Hey Guys,

2 Options to lock up Neal.

Karlsson & Quick for Neal
Karlsson & 2nd for Neal

To replace quick my real only option is Fasth. I might be able to add Marty B to the Neal side. I am more concerned about value.

It's a Keep 5 and I almost feel like you can draft a good goalie in the first round and pick one up off waivers throughout the year.

That's the only reason I am thinking of giving up Quick...not to mention he's had a terrible start to the year. However, I know he is Quick and should be elite.

Would I be better off trading a 2nd round pick instead of Quick?

Or lock on to Karlsson? He is a beast in our league since he shoots a ton, almost PPG, + player..moderate PIMs considering.

Thoughts?

Edit: I am 2nd place, I won it last year so I figured a repeat year would be tough but I can sling shot with Neal. League in Sig.

quick is better than a pick for sure, but i wouldnt trade karlsson alone for neal.

Really? Not eve straight up? I mean Karlsson is a beast but he's on IR now for the whole season...and who is to say he is going to come back guns a balzing?

Neal is a PPG guy, he gets a nice load of PIMs, shoots A TON.

I guess I am just thinking Karlsson is a bit of a what if, Neal is more of a lock. I guess that's why I am here though! Thanks so far for the input.

I'd trade Karlsson straight up for Neal. I wouldnt do the other two deals though.

The issue for me is that Karlsson creates his own offense and Neal relies on Malkin and Crosby. Neal in Dallas isn't anything special, but Karlsson anywhere is ridiculous. There's no reason to suspect that Neal won't have either Crosby or Malkin to play with for the foreseeable future, but given the choice I'll always take the guy that generates his own offense over the guy that relies on others for it.

If you think that goalies are a bit easier to replace I'd look at moving Quick for someone like D. Sedin. He and Henrik have a lot more space now that Kesler is back and they create everything for themselves. If the other owner has Lundqvist and Rinne then it probably won't work, but there are other forwards like Sedin that you can get without giving up Karlsson. Quick is a great piece and should be worth quite a bit.
