I can easily answer that. Last year I had Bobby Ryan at #5, this year I kept him at #5. He has done nothing to justify climbing or dropping in my rankings. He's a 25 year old who is still putting up similar numbers for the past 3 years. He still gets his 30+ goals. Go look at his stats, they are pretty consistent really. I can hardly wait to see what he can do once Teemu retires and he gets more opportunities then he is already getting.

As you stated yourself, you can understand why Ovechkin has dropped in my rankings. He's trending the wrong way where as Ryan has stayed consistent.

Nash has been RW for the past while, even in CBJ. I'd consider him an RW.

correct my reference to the lines being the lines for as long as they lasted wasnt meant to imply nash would be moved to the LW but rather that i am not sure those lines are any more the best lines for this team than the overload they tried starting with were

not to mention torts just loves to change his lines

Looking at the post from last year, I am surprised we havent had more submissions on their top 10 LW.

Big Ev?
Carcillo?
Laendarian?
Mac?
FHG?
Dyz?

All entered their own lists last year. No crack at it this year??

Anyone new want to throw their own list up there?

I'm going to link to this in Thursday's ramblings, should get some more submissions. LW is really thinned out with so many guys moving to the RW - Kovalchuk, Neal, Nash, etc.

There are so many forum categories (not a bad thing) that Angus' section is a good scroll down the list. I think people just don't even click down here.

You could move/link it to the "Keeper Forwards" forum and get plenty of input, if you wanted.

Neal, Eriksson, Nash and Kovalcuk as RW'ers. Benn is C. So with that said my top-10 LW's are:

1. Ovechkin
2. Parise
3. D.Sedin
4. Hall
5. E.Kane
6. Ryan
7. Landeskog
8. Vanek
9. Lucic
10. Sharp

Pacioretty misses the cut just barely. Last year I had him in my top-10 but for some reason I had left out Lucic that time.

Ovechkin is still #1 as no one on the list has yet to proved to be any better than he is. Sedin is hurt by the multi-cat setting this list is based on.

Good list. Really like it. Similar to mine, order a bit different.

I hear where you are coming from with trends, but that doesn't change the fact that Ryan has never outpointed OV in a single season. Until he does put up better numbers, there's no reason to rank him higher. Ryan doesn't have the upside that OV does.
