A GM in my league killed by injuries (Ladeskog, Spezza, Malone, Lehtonen) is reaching offering up deals. He offered me Seabrook for L. Eriksson straight up.
Obviously I won't be going for this, despite Eriksson's struggles. I'm happy with only 3D in my league setup, not desperate for a 4th, and willing to see how Bogosian plays in his return. So if I really want to entertain this guy, looking for offence, what's my best offer. My team is in sig, his is below: F: Ennis, Bozak, R. Bourque, Hossa, Little, Neal, Ladd, Weiss, Korpikoski D: Subban, Ehrhoff, Streit, Seabrook, Pitkanen G: Varlamov, Lehtonen IR: Ladeskog, Spezza, Malone Do I try and buy-low on Hossa, Neal? I don't want an odd-man deal, looking for 2:2 and definitely not a D for a F. Thoughts? Rep!

to be honest with you hossa is 1 point off last years pace and neal is 2 points off i am not sure they are really buy low candidates
you are certainly welcome to try but i am not sure why a guy looking for offense would be willing to trade one of his 2 best forwards |

I was only thinking Hossa in that respect based on how he's gotten his 12pts this year. Only 3pts in the past 7gms.
Neal is doing very well, and if I were to target either one I'd consider doing a 2:1. I think he has some deadweight he'd be willing to drop in a 2:1 scenario. Loui is struggling a little and perhaps him along a Stastny or Conacher could bring a decent return.

like i said you are more than welcome to try but i just dont see a guy shopping his defensemen for offensive help deciding to instead downgrade one of his best forwards

So my goal not being solely being to bend him over, if I stay away from them do you see any other valid offers worthy of considering ... that's essentially what I'm trying to ask, not just to look at the one scenario I tossed out and shoot it down.
I appreciate the responses.

Quote:
why not tell him you have no need for defensemen however might be interested in a deal involving forwards and see what he has to say also this is not a matter of looking at one scenario and just shooting it down as you claim you seem to be completely ignoring the other gms perspective and i am attempting to explain to you why he might have zero interest in what you are suggesting |
