That's great news! I'll be interested to see how he plays.

I watched the Jackets game last night Vs the Oil. They may have pummelled 40 shots at Edm, but man, they have a lot of 3rd liners doing the firing.

Same goes for their D on the PP. Wiz, Tyutin and JJ do a lot of the shooting, but not too many of real quality.

I gambled a higher pick on this kid.....hope it starts to pay off a little.

The big thing about Atkinson is (a) his compete level, which translates into tons of SOG and scoring chances, and (b) the opportunity he will most likely be given despite being so young, precisely because what he brings is exactly what the Blue Jackets need given the rest of their forward corps. My feeling is he'll be one of those guys that notches 3+ SOG/game consistently, and that will mean 25+ goals per year will always be within reach and some years he'll hit the 30s. His size will not stop him from producing. That's why I too made him a high draft pick this past draft.

Thanks!

Do you watch many CBJ games? They're often pretty unwatchable. I've got the Centre Ice package and somehow ended up with 4 Jackets (before trading the Wiz away) so I've seen a few this year.

1 warning I'd make for any CBJ owners of JJ....if your league counts +/-...I'd try and deal him away. He's a goal against waiting to happen. Runs around all over the place....makes some bad decisions with his shots and obviously, gets caught out of position a ton.

I'll watch tonight and try to post a little blurb of what I saw.

Yeah, it was a high ankle sprain, but not a serious one. Still, those sprains take more than the normal week or so.

Yup, would love to get your feedback on CBJ games in general, especially Atkinson but also Tyutin (given the impressive run he's put together). I hear you that there are plus/minus concerns with Atkinson, but if he can pot 15+ goals in this shortened season, and shoot at close to a 3 SOG/game clip, he'll be a solid contributor and make up for any plus/minus concerns, that's the hope at least.

The +/- is more a concern for Jack Johnson owners.

Good start....Dubi from Calvert and Tyutin.

According a tweet from Angus, he has had a setback and won't go on the roadtrip. I'm trying to find other details.
