From people who've been watching these two guys play, can someone give me a brief summary of what makes each D man unique, and which guy I can count on to be the better fantasy player moving on? League is in sig.

I could be wrong in the long run but I'd say Reinhart is going to be more of a stay at homer in the nhl .
he'll be the dman partner of a more mobile guy and still put up some points (kinda like a Seabrook situation) |

Reinhart projects to be a top pairing defenseman who crunches a lot of minutes. His size, reach and skating could really serve him well in the NHL. The jury is still out on him offensively - he has a big shot but isn't a riverboat gambler in the mold of Reilly. He could end up a Weber, Seabrook, Bouwmeester, Carlson or a hybrid of any. Reilly is a free-wheeling, offensive defenseman who loves to carry the mail and jump into the play. He also has a nice shot and crafty passing skills. In a points only format I would take Reilly over Reinhart any day of the week. This kid has the tools to be a high-end offensive D-Man if his game translates to the NHL like most suspect it will. Think Karlsson, Shattenkirk, Keith, Letang, Enstrom, Fowler, etc.

I just watched Reinhart the other night and he didn't standout offensively, but very well on the defensive side. If I had my choice between these two I'd pick Reilley, as he appears to be ready and a much more offensive weapon.

Rielly is an offensive minded d-man who can instantly create scoring chances for himself and others, so I would project him to outpoint Reinhart.

Reinhardt hasn't really consistently shown offense even in juniors, though once in a while he shows flashes of upside. Fantasy-wise he doesn't intrigue me much at all.
Rielly is your guy here by a mile.

Between the two, MG is a viable fantasy Dman. I don't see GR ever being that. He may end up being the better NHL defencemen, though. He just won't put up the same points as Rielly.

Rep given, thanks for the input.
Another question: Is Rielly a shoo in to crack the leafs lineup next year?

Rielly by far IMO. I don't know if I can say he will be in the lineup for sure to start next season, but he will crack the lineup at some point next year.
