My team is pretty strong and I am really high on Benn, so I am hesitating. However getting Ovy could put me over the top. Thoughts?

That is really tough as I'm a huge Benn supporter and Shattenkirk is a personal favorite too. That being said, it is Ovie and he appears to finally be finding his game again. Keith is no slouch but is often overrated as a top producing d-man. I think I would probably pull the trigger on the deal as you are getting the side with the greatest potential. It's a little risky and could end up in a slight loss but it also could end up in a big gain. So I think I would take the chance.

I think this is a really even trade - it really depends on how you think Ovie is going to do from hereon forth. No one really knows the answer.

My personal opinion is I keep Benn - he's been playing amazingly since the contract resolution.

If the only reason you are doing this is to get Ovechkin, I'd keep what you have. Benn will be just as productive as OV (if not more) and if Phaneuf is on the WW (you say you will drop Keith for him if you make this deal) then I would just keep what you have and drop one of your current less productive Dmen for Phanuef. Shattenkirk is having a really good season so far.

I have both guys on my team and absolutely love Benn, but I prefer the package of G, PPP, hits, and SOG that Ovi brings year in year out, no matter how "bad" he's playing. Ovi has either Backstrom or Ribeiro to play with all season, so he'll get setup every time he steps on the ice, and once Laich comes back, get ready to watch the Capitals surge through the standings. I'd try my hardest to get the other owner to ask for anyone other than Shattenkirk though. Assuming your cats include SOG, PPP, and hits, then I'd take the deal as is, even if the other GM won't budge.
