Turdis is indeed a BUST. Hardly 5th overall material, no matter how you spin it. 14 GP of a lockout shortened season does not make a career. LMFAO

Sleepers, Keepers & Clowns: Early Fantasy Camp Impressions
By Dobber | Puck Daddy – Thu, 17 Sep, 2009 4:45 PM EDT
Email

(Sleepers, Keepers & Clowns is a weekly fantasy hockey column written by Darryl "Dobber" Dobbs, an honest-to-goodness expert on such matters and founder of DobberHockey.com. His column will run on Puck Daddy every Thursday.)
Every week on Puck Daddy I will run down some keepers, some sleepers and some clowns. Who am I to sit behind a computer and call hockey players who are going through a tough time "clowns"? Get over it. If you want a nicer, less insulting name to describe the poor performers or victims of injuries who should be dropped or benched in fantasy leagues, go to Disney.com and start your own blog. You can use terms like "offensively challenged" or give them a participation award.
On here, they'll be called clowns.

The Clowns
Note: Truly frustrating, smack-your-head-on-the-desk clowns are indicated by "Drop him". The temporary, damn-the-luck clowns who should bounce back are indicated by "Bench him".
Tomas Fleischmann(notes), Washington Capitals: One of my favorite sleepers for the coming year, I'll stick him back in that category when he's healed up. But a blood-clot in his leg puts him on the shelf throughout camp and into the season for a few games. What's more, odds are that he will suffer a groin or hamstring injury soon after he returns - that happens all too often when a player misses training camp. A blood clot? What the hell? That's as dumb as missing games due to dehydration. Bench him.
Petr Sykora(notes), Minnesota Wild: The mention of dehydration reminded me of this guy, who seems to miss games every other season for that reason. Or the flu. We could put up with that stupidity when he was a 70-80 point player, but barely scraping past 50 points on a powerful Penguins team is pretty weak. He's signed with the Minnesota Wild today, but still drop him.
Nikolai Zherdev(notes), UFA: The worst of all clowns. He doesn't earn the inflated contract he already had, yet still feels in a position to push for big money. The lack of interest from NHL teams at his asking price is telling and as Chesnokov reported Tuesday he's off to the KHL. Meanwhile, some keeper owners are stuck wasting a roster spot on a player who will probably be mediocre at best if and when he does return. Drop him.
Brandon Dubinsky(notes), New York Rangers: Let's name GM Glen Sather a co-clown for overpaying Ales Kotalik(notes) before taking care of his own house first. But Larry Brooks said it best -- if Derek Jeter could swallow his pride and pay his dues for one year, playing for less money than teammate Louis Sojo, than Dubinsky could do the same. This will be settled before the season starts, but he still puts himself at risk of injury by missing camp. Bench him.
Marian Gaborik(notes), New York Rangers: I hate getting down on players repeatedly, well not really, but this is ridiculous. Right here last week I scoffed at his groin injuries and warned you to have four wingers in your lineup before drafting him. He's already sitting out, having missed the first couple of days of training camp with, yep, a groin injury. Feel free to laugh at your competitor who chose him as their first, second or third winger. If he starts to turn away, grab his arm and make sure that he sees you laughing. Keep active for now -- too early to bench and too good to drop - but you've been warned.
Darryl Dobbs is the founder of dobberhockey.com, a fantasy hockey community with over a dozen columnists, a daily blog and in-depth fantasy player rankings. His always accurate opinions can also be found over at The Hockey News in their fantasy section.

Right. Shame on us for not remembering something from 2009. We are such horrible people.

It took him all day to come up with that rebuttal (which I did not read due to the horrible grammar). Still though it's great to see how dumb he looks after he was called out. How many hockey magazines have you sold to date on your "after the fact analysis" man? Yeah that's right I'm sure we all know the answer to that. /failtroll
