I play in a few very deep (20 team, 25 player roster/25 player farm) dynasty leagues. In one I am in desperate need of defensive prospects. I went ahead and used one of my 2 weekly player adds to grab him and put him on my farm.

So far in 18 Career NHL games he has 4 A, 30 SOG, 2 PPP, 15 HIT and 35 BLK.

I know hes a bit old/late to the game at age 29. But I was wondering how much if any contributions me might be able to make my team moving forward. I like the GP:BLK ratio and he also adds shots which is always welcome.

Im aware hes bounced around in his pro career, and was a forward converted to a defenseman in his junior career. His junior numbers look good but im aware how those dont always mean good pro numbers. Any input on this player at all would be great, seeing as I dont catch many Senators games.

I see he was a healthy scratch in the Sens most recent game against WPG.

With Methot a premanent fixture, it seems like Lundin, and Wiercioch are the interchangable parts. Mark Borowiecki seems to also be a threat to playing time.

I guess what im asking is how many games do you think hell play. Will he continue to be a bottom paring 6th/7th D or do you think he could surpass the likes of Methot and Lundin.

I never liked either of Methot and Lundin and felt they both play pretty flat games. Methot is good positionally and can always add a big hit but is a turnover artist

Methot is fairly locked in to being paired with karlsson. That likely wont change soon. Lundin just came back and has been decent. If anything, Benoit will be a 6th dman who gets some limited PP2 time. Likely not consistently in line up. He'll have to compete with Wiercioch all year long, and I think the organization sees more future potential in Wiercioch.
