Although I understand the point you're getting at, saying Conacher will be an 80-85 point player simply by playing on a line with Stamkos is a big stretch.

I know Conacher isn't racking up the hits right now, but b/c he's been more a physical player at the lower levels, should we expect that the hits to come?

If so, wouldn't that make him more attractive in this comparison?

100%... totally agree.

I do like Silfverberg better tho. Saying that is like saying I like a Heineken over a Stella Artois. Both aint the best beers, but they will do in a pinch.

I think it could go either way here, if Conacher does play with stamkos then he would have the better output, my concern would be kucherov coming up. I could see him playing alongside stamkos. I think conacher forms a good tandem on the second line

80 points, maybe, but 70 for these guys is a more reasonable estimate on ceiling. Silf is bigger but Conacher will likely have a better cast around on, very tough to call.

I just wanted to say thank you to all who voted and posted. Keep it coming!

Prospects are always tough to guage, and sometimes it's hard to balance patience with the desire to sell high. I made a trade earlier this year and the other GM wanted Brunner or Conacher. I sought advice and decided to keep Conacher, but seeing the icetime, linemates, and production thus far....I'm not sure I made the right choice. Too early to tell I guess.

This decision seems to be even closer, with Conacher having the slight edge. I wonder what the voting would have been like in December. I have a feeling Silf would have been the clear favorite.
