Is Giroux a buy-low right now? 7 points in 12 games and no where near his SOG pace from last season. Philly's down manpower for sure, but he's too much of a talent to say it's just the Jagr-effect....right?

I've been offered Giroux for Seguin straight up. Full keeper league in sig below. I'm planning on taking but just looking for some feedback on people's thoughts on the timeframe for Giroux righting the ship. I feel like Seguin's about to bust out big time.

I'd also leap at the chance to acquire Giroux here. Everything is designed around him in Philly. And that's not going to change. He'll get it going (and it wouldn't surprise me if it's by putting up 3 or 4 points one game; he just has that flair) and once the ship rights itself the opportunity yo buy will be gone.

Relatively speaking, buy low if you can. However keep in mind, he'll never be a true top 3'er, as he is really more of a playmaker than sniper and goals are harder to come by. Pay for him as a top5-10er, max.

Thanks, the deal is done. Like I said initially, I'm not concerned about parting with Seguin for Giroux, just wondering what factors might jump start him. The return of Hartnell? Anyway, not too worried. He's elite and as far as I'm concerned I got a pretty decent upgrade.

Hartnell's return will help but so will the return of Meszaros. If you've watched the recent Flyers games, you may have noticed how much more defensive minded some of the forwards have been. Couturier and B Schenn especially so but it's even been noticeable with Giroux. Their D taking pressure of the forwards in their own end will help a lot.
