I'd be right pissed if that trade got vetoed in my league! I mean, you clearly would have won that deal but it doesn't seem anywhere close to a collusion type situation to me. Before proposing any other offers to try and get the deal done, I'd probably be raising hell to have someone (or all people who voted the trade down) explain their reasoning, and I'd be surprised if your trade partner wasn't feeling/thinking the same thing; the veto is essentially an indictment of his intelligence and ability to run his team.

You coming out on the better end of a given deal or your league mates thinking that you're improving your team too much is NOT what a trade veto should be used for.

First of all, it's loser-ish that your league vetos trades simply because they don't like a deal. But I'm not going to rehash the veto debate right now. If you could get Miller for Fasth straight up that would be highway robbery. I think if you add a second guy to the deal and that second guy is an additional win for you, you're going to see the veto police out again. Since the other GM was already willing to part with Kopitar in exchange for Burrows to do the deal, you'd be foolish to offer a second player exchange that swings in his favour. So given how sensitive people seem to be in your league, I'd offer Fasth for Miller and see if it pushes through.
