Orlov is still with the Hershey Bears, the Caps' American Hockey League affiliate, after suffering his upper-body injury Dec. 6. Only recently did the young defenseman begin skating again and he's not close to game action.
"He's coming along," McPhee said. "Probably, I was told a week ago it might be another month."

Orlov practiced with the team on Tuesday but with no contact jersey on. His timeline for a full return is still up in the air. It sounds like he could be back in a matter of weeks and not months now.

He definitely could - the sample size for his production is small, and the injury this year obviously makes it difficult to say. He is a puck mover and has shown he can put up points, so I'd say the chances are very good he can be a 30-40 guy, PP1 duty is a definite possibility.
