So I've been offered someone's Giroux for my Vanek. Vanek is on a tear obviously, while Giroux is slumping, so this could be a good time to buy low/sell high. Although, I have not liked what I've seen from Philly at all this year, and Vanek has always been a streaky guy who has the potential to have great seasons.

This could be a big move so any input would be appreciated.

He's had an amazing start, but nobody - NOBODY - keeps up with that kind of pace. Vanek goes on some red hot streaks but also goes on some ice cold ones.

That's what I was thinking. it's just in a shortened season, a guy on a hot streak like Vanek can really make a difference.

The trade doesn't expire for a few more days, so I'm probably going to try and get a couple more good games out of Vanek then except the trade.

I wouldn't mess around and I'd do it now. Sure it may work out that Vanek is better in the short term but do you win more leagues by selling high and buying low or selling low and buying high.

And plus. Is Vanek really going to average two points+ per game all year?

You can see the pain on Vanek's face when he bends over for a face off, his back is killing him. They say everything is fine but with a guy like him who lives in front of the net and doesn't know how to take it easy, his back will catch up with him. Take Giroux. From a die hard Sabres fan here.
