Hey guys,
I just took over a this team at the end of last season with no Goalie (T. Thomas was the keeper) and nearly no defense (Bieksa was the only keeper). I'm still pretty weak at defense and was looking at adding some depth in Edler. However, I may have to move D. Sedin to bring Edler in. How would you guys compare the two? I don't see my team fighting for the championship in the next year or two and Sedin at 33, may not continue to put up elite level numbers by that point where as Edler is a bit younger and may prove to be a more valuable keeper for my team in the long run.

Well the problem here is that when the Sedins slow down will Edler still hold his value?
He is a great D dont get me wrong but I would probably look elsewhere if I would flip Daniel for a D-man.

No way would I move D. Sedin for Edler. If you are going to trade D. Sedin you should be looking for a much better return.

Add a 75 point forward coming back with Edler and I might do it.

Age is so overrated. Gosh. I can't believe someone would entertain the idea of selling Daniel Sedin for just Edler. |

Don't get me wrong.. Not entertaining the idea of trading straight up. But was entertaining the idea of making a deal containing the 2.. Excellent point that Edler's success is probably partially due to the Sedins. I was just seeing if it would be worth it to consider making a move for Edler +

Sedin should fetch you much more than Edler and he isn't old, he is just not as young has he used to be. He and Henrik will have more good years ahead of them. Unless you can get a much better return definitely don't sell Daniel for so cheap.
