Moving McGinn up with PA Parenteau and Duchene in the 3rd period against EDM looked good, and I would slide Sgarbossa on the wing with Stastny and Jones to get those boneheads going hopefully... slide Olver back to C to center the 4th line behind Mitchell-Kobasew-Hejduk... but of course, that makes WAY too much sense.

Avs are getting killed by injuries etc. Out last night:

Last night EJ left the contest with a possible concussion/shoulder injury and did not return. Both tough guys who scrapped for the Avs were banged up and didn't return (McLeod and Bordeleau). Jones seems to be back a little early as he was very slow last night and still seems to be hampered by his knee. Duchene got banged up leaving the game for some time and looked to be working through something the rest of the game once he returned.

The depth of this team is being challenged and it's pretty sad when you see Palushaj get claimed off waivers and thrown on the 2nd line within a matter of days.

Thankfully the Avs have their 1st round pick this season, and based on the AHL team they are icing it should be a terrific pick indeed.

Goodbye to Ryan O'Reilly.... what an unfortunate turn of events.

I f'n hate Avs management, they're so goddamned stubborn, and refuse to negotiate.

Seriously they go up from 3.5 per to 4 per year on a two-year deal and O'Reilly would have been in uniform by now, however there are no negotiations, and things got personal between the two sides, so there's no turning back now.

Avs are rumored to be looking for a roster player and top prospect in return. I have a feeling whatever the package is in return it won't be enough.
