Any updates as to whether or not Smith will be starting against the Predators tonight?

Jan 27 Smith (lower body) did not practice with the team Sunday, Dave Vest of the team's official site reports.
Recommendation: He's still considered day-to-day. The Coyotes host the Predators on Monday, so we'll see if Smith progresses enough in the next 24 hours to suit up. Jason LaBarbera would be called upon if Smith can't go.

The Coyotes website pre-game report still calls him "questionable".

UPDATE: Chad Johnson going tonight for the Coyotes!!!

I'm liking Shea Weber's chances of getting his first points of the season.

Yeah, I mean I have no faith in an NFL receiver being able to play goalie in the NHL.

Per NHL.com the Yotes put Smith on IR GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Phoenix Coyotes placed goalie Mike Smith on the injured reserve list Monday retroactive to Jan. 23, when he suffered a groin injury in pregame warm-ups and lasted only nine minutes against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Smith is eligible to come off the list for Wednesday’s home game against Edmonton. But he returned to the ice in full gear on Monday for the first time since the injury occurred and he’s not expected to return until at least Friday, when Phoenix is in Dallas for the first of a home-and-home series against the Stars.

I dress him this week my backup goalie is Holtby hope he will be back on friday... my team is starting to heat up I need him...
