Been working on a deal for Giroux for some time and it's evolved into this.

His: Giroux, Pietrangelo, Winnik

My: Karlsson, Sharp, Pacioretty, Crawford

There's another offer that subs Gaborik for Sharp, but I prefer Gaborik over Sharp. Pacioretty's injury could be a factor, but it's a full keeper so I'm not sure how heavily injury should weigh into the decision. I don't have a lot of faith in Winnik, but he'd fill a roster spot short term at least. Crawford has jumped in value quite a bit with his hot start, but should that be trusted? I've got 4 starters and Brian Elliott, so I can spare him, but I don't want to give him away.

Pietrangelo<Sharp, Pacioretty, but again not by much
Winnik<<<Crawford, obviously by a ton.

I disagree with you that Pietrangelo > Sharp and Pacioretty.

I don't know if you're championship or bust or not, but I wouldn't discount Pacioretty that much because of his injury. Because of this, I wouldn't do the deal if I were you.

I think you're better off with what you have, personally. Defensemen fluctuate so much. I know Pietrangelo is very good, but I definitely wouldn't trade 2 real good forwards for him.

Edit: I read that wrong. But my thoughts stand, because I think Sharp + is much better than Pietrangelo. Sorry about that.
