3 games in and it's looking like Giordano's chances of a bounceback year are dim. Perhaps things will change if the losses pile up, but for now Wideman is the only Dman on PP1.

I'm thinking of droppping Cam Atkinson and picking up a Dman to ensure some depth. I know Atkinson is highly touted, but my RW position is already solid and I have pretty good young players already - Tarasenko, Schenn, Granlund and Brunner are ahead of Atkinson.

Atkinson doesn't have much trade value in my league. I could sit tight for a little while longer and see if he heats up, which could potentially lead to some form of trade. Here are the options on the WW (keep in mind we only keep 3 "young players", so its unlikely any of these would be keepers, even Rundblad):

Robidas
Niskanen
Salo(very underrated IMO, but I have a soft spot for Senators' draft picks)
Nikitin
Rundblad (likely won't do much this year?)
Foster
Blum
McBain
Meszaros
Stuart
Elliot (not in the league at the moment)

etc, etc.

So...verdict? Drop Atkinson for one of these guys, or hold on for now and hope Atkinson takes off?

thats a tough one, i'm not sure i would drop Atkinson for any of those guys under normal circumstances.

however, seeing as how you are a fellow Sens fan i trust you have seen Methot play and see how well he fits in with Karlsson, albeit a defensive handcuff, he may sponge the odd point.

other than that i see Nikitin or Niskanen..not super options, but a decent stop-gap until Giordano can get his sh*t together.

EDIT: Salo had a good game last night and his stats are decent as well...would easily consider him over Methot

Thanks guys. I may wait it out a bit....just on the off chance Atkinson starts to do something and becomes tradeable. With Pitkanen in I'm safe until someone gets hurt. I am glad to get your perspectives though....I thought for sure everyone would say Robidas and Niskanen.

I think that waiting for a bit would be the prudent thing to do.

I would definitely wait a bit before judging. 3 games doesn't give much of a chance to evaluate.
