Trade already made this past Monday, but I wanted some analysis/thoughts on it if possible.
The past 2 years in the roto keeper listed in siggy below, I've ridden the 3-headed goalie trio of Thomas/Luongo/Bryzgalov to back-to-back titles. It's all gone pretty much to hell since then, with Timmy T going batshit crazy and dropping out of society and hockey, Luongo falling out of favor in VAN, and Bryz being a general enigma for my Flyers. I own Bobrovsky on my farm, but he was pretty much it for any readily-available help there. So I knew last summer I was down to Luongo and Bryz, with The Bob on the farm. 2 goalies wouldn't be bad to ride all season, but not with Schneider becoming the de facto starter in VAN. I was able to pick up Harding off the wire just before the end of last season, and ended up making him my 17th and final keeper (before the MS diagnosis, of course, but rooting like hell for him even more now). Then I was able to work a trade for Lehner, stashing him on my farm (we can keep goalie farmers there until career game 200). Pretty happy with Lehner's potential future in OTT. At our dispersal draft I picked up Hedberg, knowing the starts he'll get for NJ should be solid. I began talking to Holtby's owner a few months ago, targeting him as potential trade bait. He liked my Stefan Elliott, who I drafted and have been waiting on for years. I considered my blueline a strength, with 5 solid starters, and Voynov/Elliott and some solid drafted d-men like Beaulieu, Clendening, Trouba, Lindholm & Gernat stashed away. We ended up agreeing to Holtby for Elliott & my 1st Rd Draft Pick next June. That pick has been 10th the last 2 years. It seems that Elliott's taking longer than we all would like to reach his vast potential in COL, with his recent AHL demotion in favor of Barrie being the latest disappointment. Still think he'll be a fantasy stud. So how did I do with this trade? I now have Luongo, Bryz, Harding and Hedberg on my active roster for this short season. I can bring up any of The Bob, Holtby and Lehner for any spot starts. I'm obviously looking for all 3 of Bob/Holtby/Lehner to become successful NHL starters, and be ready to move up to active roster by their 200th career games, hopefully to take the place of the aging Lu and Bryz. At least, that's the plan. We all know how the best laid plans often turn out! Thanks for any insight.

I like the trade, but not too keen you had to include your 1st rounder. I think Elliot may end up being a bust (his recent struggles even at the AHL level are troubling), and your D is very solid. Holtby is a good gamble in goal (though Wash sure seems a mess right now).
You'll really end up alright in net if Lou ends up getting moved, becuase I believe he is easily a top 10 goalie still. Good luck!
