16 team league that is goalie crazy. Larberbra and leighton are the only backups not owned, and prospect wise it is just as thin with the best available likely being cannata. We keep 20 year to year, about 75-80goalies are owned, and we only use players in the yahoo database.

should i just give up on him, the bench spot would likely go to larberba in hopes he steals the job, since no skater would crack my rotation this year (maybe get 1 start a week), or another skater prospect (likely Regin or Blum)

Is this for the team in the sig: Lundy and Price? You seem good to go at goalie...??? I'd probably take a stab at Lab.

Helenius isn't worthless, though. He is signed until next year and will be in the NHL. He's on a one-way deal.

yeah it is the 2nd team in sig, so i really do not need anyone right now, I have 2 elite goalies and a 3rd legit one, and it the 5 player draft (we redraft 5 each year) i added nilstorp and riku (also matt martin, silfverberg, brett connolly and tedenby)

Also laberbra is a moot point since he was picked up, but Bachman was dropped for him, and bachman would hedge my bet on nilstorp (either is just a backup and a gamble that the hamburgler gets hurt agian

I think Nilstorp passes Bachman. Between Bachman and Helenius, Helenius has a far better pedigree and upside. Remember, he's a former first round pick who was on par with Varly's talent level coming out of Russsia. I think his future depends on whether he wants to truly stay here, even if it wouldn't work with Tampa. With that said, he has a leg up with that one way. Next year will clear matters up with him. If you sat on him this long, you may as well wait, especiay in a shortened season.

thanks for the advise, with downie on the IR i have some roster space to play with (i really should use that slot to replace downie ie a hitter/PIM guy), and i will at least wait till keepers are due next season for riku.

Also of note, i tried getting one of the higher pedigree goalie prospects (bernier, markstrom, lehner) and the price was crazy high. I have a few other offers out there still (on nilsson and poulin), are there any other prospects (guys that may be a year or two away) that i should be targeting in my search to upgrade my long term goalie situation.
