Yeah, definitely agree that NJ might sign him. The Devils are weak up the middle, so he'd get an opportunity to at least try and shake the funk over the last couple of seasons.

Lots of negativity on Gomez's point potential, so if he does land on his feet and play well, guys will be reluctant to pluck him from the WW, giving you more time to assess his play.

If he plays well, I would have no compuction at taking a shot.

Listening to the Fan 590 today at noon and Kypreos and McLean said he would be a very good fit in Vancouver, and I totally agree. His speed would go well with Raymond on the second or third line. He would also be a little closer to home being from Alaska. Just might work.

Pierre LeBrun ‏@Real_ESPNLeBrun

Scott Gomez slated to meet with Sharks this weekend as both sides explore whether there's a fit. Larry Robinson connection is key.

Nick Kypreos ‏@RealKyper

Gomez heading 2 coast. Scott Gomez will be in Calif 2 meet #Sharks and poss' with #Ducks as well. Gomez has not signed a #NHL deal as of yet

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie

Scott Gomez is in San Jose right now, meeting with Sharks' coaches and management.

For all things good in this world, please San Jose Sharks, do not sign Gomez.

Go Sharks! I love it when a rival team gets weaker by addition
