At first glance I say no because Team A owns that player and can either trade him or not.

No, that's legit. Neither one of them is willingly hurting their team to help out another guy, they are each giving up and getting something that they want.

As long as the player traded justifies the pick in return, I cant see how it's collusion. Smart positional play by Team B maybe, but I wouldnt call that collusion.

No collusion. If player A uses his first waiver wire pick to grab a player who he then flips for a better player it's pretty genuis and legit. Player A loses his waiver priority but is able to upgrade his team in doing so, player B gets the trade he wants as well. Both players presumably end up with a team they legitimately prefer. I can see the guy with #2 waiver priority being upset about it if he also wanted the guy off waivers but that doesn't make the shrewd dealing by player b collusion.

I wouldnt consider this collusion, especially if the pick given in return is justified when comparing it to a player who is on the waiver wire. If anything, i consider it a pretty smart play by Team B. He keeps his waiver position, gets a player he wants and only gives up a pick for it.

I have to assume that player B contacted player A to use his #1 priority to guarantee the player is picked up in exchange for the pick ahead of time. Sneaky, clever, but not collusion unless the pick-player transaction is clearly lopsided.

On the other hand if player A simply used his #1 priority knowing that particular player had value and could net him value in a trade that's simply smart managing, maximizing the value of your WW priority.

Seems like a pretty straightforward series of transactions.

The funny thing is.... this hasn't even happened in my league I was trying to build up a good knowledge base for if this ever happens and GMs complain. Thank you very much for your responses!
