Agreed - glad I managed to get him. Shame it's essentially a six team league - not only those who pre-ranked but who have made moves so far. The other six seemed to have given up or forgotten. Oh well - a six team battle it will be!

Since Peckham reaggravated an injury, I dropped him for McQuaid, who's just returning from injury. At the moment my question is primarily looking at who to start without relying on my bench (max games), so please keep that in mind. I'm wondering who you suggest should be my starting six defensemen? I have eight in total, and suspect you could argue a case for all of them.

Point values: PIM=2, Hits=1, Blocked shots=1

Here are my eight, in current order of starters/bench (bottom two on bench for now). Points are last season's averages per game (considering missed games):

Girardi 5.3
Giordano 5.9
Seabrook 5.2
Robidas 5.2
S.Weber 5.3
McQuaid 5.6
Seidenberg 4.8
Polak 5.4

Which six do you like to start the season? Or if you prefer, which two would you keep on the bench for now?

My top-6 would be: Girardi, Giordano, Seabrook, Robidas, Weber and Seidenberg. Go with your best players.

Agree... McQuaid's value is mainly through PIM.
With the collarbone blood clots, I'd think he'll hold off on fighting for a bit... which is too bad considering BOS has two games against the fighting Rangers (Bickel, Haley) in the coming week.

Thanks guys. Yeah I've been thinking about how McQuaid would start the season so it's probably best to keep him on my bench for now. Polak was great last season and had a higher fpt per game average than Seidenberg, but looking back he's a bit more unpredictable. Those were really the only ones I was debating about so happy with your suggestions.
