I don't think it's a good idea at all. Some nice pieces, but a ton of question marks. You would probably get better offers if you out him on the market. That being said, of I was rebuilding, Kane is a guy of want to be building around (not to mention this is the absolute WORST time to be trading Kane). I wouldn't be moving him to get younger. There are 8-10 years of great production left in Kane - at least.

Even with the first I would not do this deal. If Kane were 30, maybe a different story. He just really isn't 30.

Some good points have been made.

I've been building around Kane through the draft and have some decent pieces. I don't see myself winning in the next 1-2 years, although I'm alway looking for ways to improve my team. So I guess the question becomes: would I be better off in two years (and onwards) with Kane and buildilng around him, or with the pieces offered in the trade.

I would hold Pat Kane.
At very least, sell him when he's HIGH, but not now.

Kane should be opening the year with Bolland-Sharp, so maybe he does better being back on the wing than he has in previous years.

this is very important if you are a couple of years away anyway there is no rush to get your players out of the door immediately

dont trade them when they are possibly at their lowest value
