I've seen a few Mikkeller beers in the shops here. They are expensive, but intriguing. I'm not a witbier fan, but I may have to try one of their other selections.

It's a hoppy witbier though, definitely interesting. Enjoyed it.

I've got a beer geek breakfast sitting at home but other than that haven't tried any of their others. They had Santa's Little Helper on tap last night which sounded great but consdiering I was driving I opted for the slightly lower Alcohol %.

Just stopped by a local beer store and they have nice shiny racks of the dissident and the Abyss from deschutes. Both are supposed to be pretty good, any recommendations from my esteemed compatriots?

Haven't tried those two particular beers, but since they're from Deschutes I'd say grab 'em. I've never had a bad beer from Deschutes.

can't dis the dis because i havent opened it yet. aug due date. where in vic can you get the abyss? wish to try.

the granville isl limited chocolate imperial stout is worth a taste, if you go for that type. very rich, and not at all 'strong' for a >8 beer.

I've also never had a bad beer from Deschutes. I tried the Abyss recently, it's on tap at work. I'm not an Imperial Stout fan but it is a really good one, I'd recommend it.

"On tap at work...." That just never gets old. Unreal.

Needless to say the Elementary school I teach at doesn't have anything on tap.

I'm also not a true fan of that style, but have sampled it many times at the Deschutes Brewhouse in Bend. It has some amazing layers of taste. Go for it!

The Muslims have Mecca, we have the Deschutes Brewhouse in Bend. I must make my pilgrimage. So far I have only worshiped their beer from afar.
