No way this dude is gonna be game ready if his groin/ham won't allow him to practice with the team... he starts slow even if healthy... DANGIT! How quickly I remember the injury frustration only days after the lockout frustration was relieved.

Heard on TSN today that he should definitely be there for the opener so I wouldn't worry too much.

He apparently begged his coach to let him practice but Hartley said he'd rather be the old 100% sure he can't aggravate it before meaningful games are played.

Iggy should be fine and do his thing as usual.

I'm not to worried about Iginla, I expect him to be there for Calgary's opening game. I'm thinking he has a big season this year.

I can see that. Iginla doesn't "need" these preseason tryouts, plus he'll likely be playing with familiar line mates leaving little to no need for chemistry to develop.
