You can\'t be serious....

There are \"gambles,\" and then there are STUPID trades. Even if I new Niedermayer was playing for sure next year, I might be reluctant to pull the trigger on that one.

Weber is one of the great young defensemen in the league. Keep him on your roster and be happy.

After our draft (this evening) I am planning on making a low-ball offer for him on the chance that he doesn\'t retire. The word around is he is leaning towards retirement and everyone knows it. So for Weber... no way!

Don\'t do it!

Weber is 21 - 40 points/79 games, 17g,23a
Niedermayer is 33 - 69 points/70 games, 15g,54a

As mentioned previously, I would not do this deal even if Niedermayer wasn\'t going to retire. Weber is 12 years younger. Weber is a great offensive defencemen, he will rival Whitney for best defenceman in the league. I don\'t think Weber\'s numbers will drop, even with the salary dump with the .....?...... Predators.

As has already been stated. Don\'t Do It! The only way I would consider doing this deal is if 1)I knew Nieds was going to play next year and 2) I had a legitimate shot at winning next year. Other than those 2 occurances I say keep Weber

Edited for spelling
