The Visnovsky angle is probably the best one to play.

But don't be surprised if Brunner struggles to start the year, despite playing with Zetterberg in Switzerland. New league, new ice size, new culture, etc, etc. Witness Hudler a couple years back.

But that being said, I grabbed Brunner relatively early in the lockout and was able to flip him for Doan. So there may be some value for you in grabbing him and seeing what you can get.

If McDonald is healthy, I can't imagine that Brunner will be able to put up more times than him. McDonald's risk is that he is an injury prone player but he's very proven, Brunner is unproven at the NHL level. Just don't see the reason to go with Brunner unless you expect McDonald to be on the IR the whole year. Both are risks, and I feel like McDonald comes with the greater reward.

Tanguay seems to fly under the radar, very underrated fantasy player especially when in a league that only counts goals and assists with equal weight. Tanguay is going to be on the number one line with Iginla, and is going to get prime PP minutes. In a full season playing along side Iginla 70 points wouldn't surprise me, in a short season and if Iginla comes out hot a PPG season for Tanguay wouldn't be out of the question. I don't know where one makes the justification of picking Brunner over Tanguay is this set up.

I'd stand pat with your forwards and leave Brunner to someone else, but definitely would take Pitkanen over Visnovsky. Sure Pitkanen will have a little lower upside, but apart from him being another band-aid boy, he should produce decently in my opinion and is still safer than Visnovsky.

I like Atkinson over Brunner, but at this time I'd stand pat with the roster you got, and when the season begins I'd keep an eye on both those players and make the decision of adding them at that time. I'd rather risk someone else picking them up, then dropping what you got only for them to disappoint, on top of the player you dropped getting snagged.

I've officially dropped Visnovsky and added Brunner.. If Visnovsky comes back maybe i'll keep my eye on him or pitkanen..

On the other hand Gardiner's health is starting to worry me..

Good choice, I read that Brunner likely will play with Zetterberg and Datsyuk. For me, that's a gamble worth taking unless your roster already looks like an all-star team.

If Brunner plays a few games and doesn't produce what do you think will happen? No chance they'll let him ride it out for long. There is lots of young talent on the Wings so expect line shuffling regardless. Let someone else take the risk on him unless you have some sort of farm system.
