I'm thinking Parise will go 1st overall (the guy says that's what he's looking at doing). So I'm looking at either Semin or Selanne and I'm actually strongly considering Semin. I think Carolina is a good environment and team for him. Also there is a much higher chance that he will sign with them next season then Selanne will sign with the Ducks again (and in time for me to be able to resign him, if Selanne waits again then I won't be able to keep him). I should have just enough cap space to draft all the people I want if I go with Semin so I'm not concerned about that. I need RWs the most right now (have 6 players with C eligibilty, 5 with LW eligibility and 3 with RW eligibilty).

personally i would weigh the risks with hossa about evenly as those with semin and might be more inclined to go with hossa if you could fit it

If he fails, well, it would still seem better than paying a 40 year old Hossa $7.9 million.

sport-express named semin the 4th biggest lockout disappointment i would have thought he could get motivated playing at home

also we have seen how motivated he gets when his contract is expiring last season

as for hossa and 40 its salaries not cap hits so hossa will not be $7.9 at 40 in this league

I guess I should mention that there is some strong consideration that we will switch to cap hits in the future.
