Yea, online gaming on consoles has never really done it for me. Playing with a big group of people you know is wicked fun though.

Can think of the times me and friends would pull an all-nighter and just crowd together around some multi-player game and just play it for like 20 hours straight.

Oh yeah man. Got it a couple hours ago and have been playing it ever since. People are really horrible lol...I'm not having much difficulty putting up 3.0 KDR's or higher (some cases much higher) while tacking on close to if not more than 10 assists per game.

The whole game has a bit too much of a COD feel for me personally. I like COD and all but I kind of wanted them to stay their own games.

This whole ordnance thing has really turned the tides in favour of the people that are more skilled though. Essentially Ordnance is like a care package for Halo...when you get enough points you get an ordnance call in which can range from anything between guns, grenades, sniper rifles, and powerups like OS, Speed boost, Damage boost, etc. Damage boost is pretty huge. If you have it you pretty much need three shots to kill a guy as long as you go body-body-head.

There are some pretty significant differences in this game i.e. you can beat down while your opponent is low shield and it'll kill them instead of destroy their shields, when you get shot while scoped you don't zoom out..

Slayer matches are now up to 60 and follow the whole cod-each kill = 10 points thing. I'm finding assists are much easier to come by as well...in past games the only time you'd get an assist is pretty much when you bring a guy's shield down yourself. Now it's if you basically get one shot. I'm averaging around 10 assists a game. Maps are interesting, I'm finding they don't take a very long time to get the hang of.

Scatter shot is a new gun that is similar to a shotgun. Rail gun is a gun you charge that is a one hit kill if you hit someone with it. Kind of like a Spartan Laser except you don't have to charge it as long.

Some weapons are way overpowered (NEEDLER...holy hell). There's a new special automatic gun called the SAW that is ridiculous..You can get points for being a distraction which is funny.

Everyone gets sprint...you get an additional armour ability on top of that.

They're having serious issues with their servers though...none of my games have been recorded...but my rank has been going up and up. But in terms of player stats and such nothing is being recorded right now.

Oh crazy. I'm hoping to test it out tonight. I just hope it's a good mix of CoD and Halo. It needs to still be halo for me, but I don't mind the fact that you can change your loadout and all. I like that you don't have to wait for the shield to be completely dropped to kill them.

Derek and I are probably going to buy it after Boxing Day as well. We want to get back into our usual weekly competitive online and get owned by 14 yr olds.
