Well as of now it doesn't look like they'll even be doing that this season. Buck and JP will be in the majors and D'Arnaud will hopefully continue to prosper as a minor leaguer, and hopefully with little or no injuries.

I can understand your point for sure. Not much worse than an injury prone catcher (unless it's an injury prone pitcher :P). He was raking in the minors though. What kind of player do you think they could get for him? If you told me you could get an equivalent talent that played LF? I'd think about making that deal. They need the LF.

JP is a high strikeout, high power kinda catcher and maybe that's fine. Maybe that's what he's supposed to do! He's gotta be great for the clubhouse anyway. But if there's no way to do a 1-for-1 swap for a need...mehhhhh I'd rather hold on to him.

Darnund is still largely considered an elite prospect, if they can get a similar return it would be worth it, but blue chippers for blue chippers are rare (pineda for monero was the last one, but that may have scared even more teams away from doing it)

TD is a far superior talent. Its already been mentioned about JPs SO rate....horrible. Defensively hes not the best either. terrible when it comes to blocking the plate.

Given his injury history Id say other teams may be also a little leary about acquiring TD too(in terms of fair value return that is).

So bottomline JP will eventually be the guy to go.
