Picked up a 6-pack of Tommyknocker Maple Nut Brown Ale... big fan of brown ales, but this one was kind of disappointing. Exceedingly smooth and sweet, probably due to the maple syrup it's brewed with. Kind of underwhelming at 4.5% too. Kick me in the face if you want, but I think Newcastle is better. I like New Glarus Fat Squirrel (local Wisconsin brew) as well. Can anyone recommend some decent brown ales for me?

I'm not a big fan of brown ales, but I have ad Tunbler from Sierra Nevada. It rates highly on BA and is easy to wind, even up here in Canada.
