Hey.. we just started a H2H 12 teams league, and i'm trying to acquire Tyler Seguin.

I have made 2 proposals that are still on the table.. I had made another one, but he as rejected it already. Since he' hasnt rejected the other 2, I know he's considering making the trade.

Here are my 2 proposals

My Bobby Ryan & P.A. Parenteau for his Seguin and Pascal Dupuis

My Bobby Ryan & M. Pacioretty for his Seguin & Andrew Ladd

Do you think this are fair offers?

I have a feeling Seguin will become a stud in the near futur and i'm willing to give away 2, 30 goals scorer to get him.

He made me a counter offer that i Rejected right away.. My RNH, Shattenkirk and Pacioretty for his Seguin, Ehrhoff and Desharnais.

my Fowards are: Tavares, RNH, E. Staal, Marleau, Semin, Ryan , Pacioretty, Moulson, Parenteau, Doan, Kesler, Stepan... (Kadri, Couturier, Schwartz in my reserve)

Now is not the best time to acquire him, as an owner I'm really excited about him at the moment. You shouldn't expect to acquire him for good value at this point but I think he's a great young player to go for.

If I am you, I would do both the deals you proposed. If I'm the other guy, I probably wouldn't move Seguin for either of those deals. Ryan and Pacioretty is a good pair but for me I'm still not trading Seguin for both.

Don't trade RNH lol! Like I alluded to you might be better served waiting and trying to get him if he gets injured or slumps. See if the guy overvalues a guy like Kesler or Stepan maybe?

I too am a Seguin owner in 2 competitive keeper leagues and I paid a big price to get him. Probably the least you would have to pay is RNH +, IMO. I think Seguin is going to be a beast and continue to tear up the league. I think his outlook and future are brighter then that of any oilers prospect and 30 goal scorer.

I'm an owner of him as well and got him in a package that included Getzlaf. The guy is right in that trading for Seguin right now isn't a good idea. He got 67 points in his second year and will only take off from there. Not only did he get 67 points, his +/- was top 5 in the league. Try trading Eric Staal or Marleau/Stepan and see if the guy is interested. I just dealt Staal (and him getting potentially more points with more talent around him, and sold the buyer on that point) for James Neal and a first rounder.

I'm not trading him for either of those offers if it's any consolation. In a multi-cat, Pacioretty is a great 2nd piece to the deal but I think the problem in the offers rests with Ryan. I think you need to look at perceived trajectories here when trying to capture the interest of the Seguin owner. Ryan is coming off a sub-par year compared to expectations while Seguin blew expectations out of the water after a slow rookie season. It's just not a great time to go after him. We can talk all day about what Ryan is capable of, but I'm not interested in that as a Seguin owner since Seguin is actually doing it. It would be good to know if your league is points only or multi-cat. Ryan gets little PP time, likely average to low +/- to go with his lower upside than Seguin. Plus Seguin is 20 years old. You're likely going to have to pay up if you're serious about him. I think his owners are pretty eager to see what he's going to do next, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's ppg from here on out. (Ryan's owners are wondering if he's going to regain some of his prior value). So good luck, but I think you need to do better.

Agree with the others. If he can be had at that price, it's a must do.

both those trades are good for you. you might need to overpay a bit but it will be worth it come next season when seguin breaks out to be the next big thing.
