Yahoo standard, H2H keeper league
We keep one at each position (except we keep 3 OF, 4 SP, and 2RP). Currently, I have these choices (narrowed down): 4 of: Felix Hernandez RA Dickey Derek Holland Brandon Beachy Shawn Marcum Street and Clippard at RP (at least for now) C - Santana 1b - Goldschmidt 2b - Kinsler 3b - Beltre, P. Sandoval SS - Castro OF - Cruz, D. Jennings, D. Stubbs, N. Markakis, M. Joyce, Y. Alonso Obviously, my OF and 3rd/4th SP is mediocre. Thoughts on this trade just offered to me? Alex Gordon, Aramis Ramirez, Hiroki Kuroda for Markakis, Beltre, Marcum Is the upgrade of Gordon over my OF and Kuroda over my 4th SP (Marcum or Beachy probably) worth giving up Beltre (and keeping Sandoval)?

Secondly, I'd decline the deal. Gordon doesn't have a ton of pop, he most hits doubles and singles. Kuroda is aging and his value in keeper leagues is not very high at all and Beltre is that much better than Ramirez. I like the idea of dealing Beltre for a stud OF, but you have to aim higher. I'm sure someone would be very interested in a stud 3B for a stud OF. Then you keep Sandoval and your team is much more balanced.

Thanks.
Marcum (and his inability to stay on the field) or Beachy (and his Tommy John surgery) over Holland? I've been struggling with that one.

when is Beachy expected back? tough using a keeper spot for someone you know is going to miss a good chunk of the season and not back to full strength until 2014. I think a trade is in your future with those 2 stud 3rd basemen; now might be a great time to move Sandoval and fill those weaker positions you need
